Before having an abortion procedure, it is important to get tested for STDs.
STDs often have few or no symptoms. Left untreated, STDs can result in Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) following an abortion. This is because the bacteria causing the infection can be moved into the reproductive tract during the abortion procedure. PID can result in serious complications.

If you test positive for Bacterial Vaginosis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, or Trichomonas we will treat you for free when you return to receive your results. If you test positive for Syphilis or HIV, you will be referred to a medical provider.
